balanceOS is a habit, challenge and money tracker for iPhone. If something is not working, write to us — a real person reads every message.
We answer within two working days. It helps if you include your app version — it is at the bottom of the Profile screen — and what you were doing when it went wrong.
I have forgotten my PIN.
Tap Forgot PIN? on the sign-in screen. We email a reset link to the address on the account.
I signed up with Apple and cannot find my account.
Use Sign in with Apple rather than the email and PIN form, and pick the same Apple ID you used originally. If you chose to hide your email, Apple gives us a private relay address instead — that is the address on your account.
I have a new phone.
Install balanceOS and sign in. Everything — habits, streaks, expenses, challenges — comes back from your account. Nothing lives only on the phone.
A habit linked to Apple Health is not logging itself.
Open Profile → Apple Health and check the types you have shared. If a type is off, balanceOS cannot read it and the habit stays manual. You can also check in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → balanceOS. Health data can take a few minutes to appear after a workout ends.
Does balanceOS change anything in Apple Health?
No. It only ever reads the types you allow, and never writes anything back.
I forgot to tick a habit for a few days.
Open the habit, tap Mark another day, and the calendar shows which days you kept and which you missed. Tap a missed day to fill it in, or a kept day to clear it.
When does a challenge day end?
A challenge day runs 3 AM to 3 AM, so a late night still counts for the evening it started. The pill on the Challenges tab counts down to the next reset.
My invite link does nothing.
Install balanceOS first, then open the link again — a link can only join you to a challenge once the app is on the phone and you are signed in.
I want to leave a challenge, or be removed from one.
Ask whoever created it to remove you, or write to us and we will do it.
Challenges are private: only people invited to one can see what is posted in it. If something posted to a challenge you are in is abusive or offensive, email bhavitgupta743@gmail.com with the challenge name and roughly when it was posted.
We remove reported content and suspend the account behind it within 24 hours of a report. Objectionable content and abusive behaviour are not tolerated, as set out in the Terms of Use.
A Splitwise bill shows the wrong amount.
balanceOS stores only your share of a split bill, never the whole table's. If the share looks wrong, check how the bill is split in Splitwise itself.
Splitwise has stopped importing.
Open Profile → Splitwise. If the connection has expired, unlink it and connect again.
I am not getting reminders.
Check Profile → Notifications for the frequency, and iPhone Settings → Notifications → balanceOS for permission. Reminders can be paused from the app, which stops all of them.
The home screen widget is out of date.
The widget follows your live challenge and refreshes when the app does. Opening balanceOS updates it immediately.
How do I lock the app?
Profile → Face ID. It is off until you turn it on.
In the app: Profile → Delete my account. You will be asked to type your username to confirm.
This permanently deletes your profile, habits, streaks, logs, expenses, wealth records, trips, avatar, archived challenge photos and connected-service tokens, removes you from the challenges you were in, and deletes your sign-in account. It cannot be undone, and no email or support request is needed to do it.
If you cannot get into your account to delete it, write to us from the email address on the account and we will delete it for you.
